Vehicles that may be a problem for the Auto Transport Service

When it comes to auto transport there are general vehicles that are fit for being transported on a regular car carrier and some vehicles that are not. Basically a general vehicle type is any vehicle sold through car manufactures that has not been modified regardless of make and model with the exception of some sport cars and large suv’s.  Vehicles that are a problem and require special auto transport arrangements are automobiles that exceed height limit of 7 feet or have a ground clearance of under 4 inches.

The reason of the height issue is because most auto transport carriers have two levels as well as drive under overpasses on highways. As for ground clearance, a vehicle has to be driven up a ramp to get on the transport truck. If your car has ground effects then they should be able to be removed. If your vehicle is lowered because of modifications to shocks and such then your automobile will have to be transported on a different truck to suit your vehicles needs. Also vehicle tire size is an issue. If you have a truck will double tires (large pick ups) or wide and very low profile sport tires your vehicle may require special arrangements.

All in all make sure to make note of such modifications that your vehicle has before booking the auto shipping service. If you do not make note of these things before booking and the car transport carrier arrives at your location for pick up you will be held responsible for the cost of your shipment.
